ÉCLAIRE 2nd General Assembly

The ÉCLAIRE 2^nd General Assembly will take place in Edinburgh from 15 to 18 October 2012.

The venue for the meeting is Macdonald Holyrood Hotel, which is set in Edinburgh's historic and beautiful old town. Conveniently located in the city centre, this Edinburgh hotel boasts views of the Crags and Arthur's Seat. It is in close proximity to key locations like the Scottish Parliament, Dynamic Earth and Palace of Holyrood House.

The formal part of the meeting will start on Tuesday, 16th October, 9.00 a.m. with registration from 8-9.00 a.m. After 3 days of plenary and parallel meetings, we are planning to conclude with the General Assembly between 2 and 3.30 p.m. on Thursday, 18th October, which will mark the finish of the meeting.

On Moday, 15th October 9:30 - 17:00 at CEH Edinburgh Eiko Nemitz will lead a meeting for those taking part in the Bosco Fontana campaign, or interested in it's results . Please register for this additional day by email to eclaire@ceh.ac.uk with copy to Eiko(en@ceh.ac.uk) and book your hotel / flights accordingly. Transport between CEH and the Macdonald Holyrood Hotel will be arranged and lunch will be provided at CEH. Apologies to those who might need to travel on the Sunday

The Executive Steering Group will meet on Monday evening and then again on Thursday afternoon together with the Scientific Advisory Board.

Evening activities include a drinks reception at the Scotch Whisky Experience on Tuesday and dinner in the National Galleries of Scotland on Wednesday, to which all delegates are invited.

Click here to register for the meeting. The registration will open on Moday, 9th July. The full registration fee is £275 and the strudent registration fee is £170.
The registration fee covers the cost of lunches, tea/coffee, participation in the drinks reception and conference dinner.

The negotiated rate of £110 (including breakfast) is valid until 21st September, so please make sure you reserve your room beforehand. After that date the hotel cannot guarantee the price and availibility. Please note that the accomodation IS NOT included in the registration fee.
