Doctoral Programme 'Climate Change - Uncertainties, Thresholds and Coping Strategies'

Following a successful bid with the Austrian National Science Foundation, the University of Graz is currently offering 16 positions for PhD candidates and one position as a PostDoc coordinator in the new Doctoral Programme “Climate Change – Uncertainties, Thresholds and Coping Strategies” (see attachments). This Programme operates in a  highly interdisciplinary fashion covering natural scientists as much as economists and includes climate ethics.  Please find the details at http://dk-climate-change.uni-graz.at/en/ , where (see tab “THESIS TOPICS”) also preliminary topics for the PhD theses are listed.

Application deadline will be May 28, 2014, with an expected start of employment October 1. Candidates are expected to suggest for which topic(s) they would  see themselves best qualified. Each topic is assigned to one University of Graz faculty member who will also be acting as the primary PhD advisor.
